About Holly Frisosky

Ms. Frisosky’s passion for beautiful objects was instilled at an early age. Attending auctions, antique and jewelry shows were regular activities in her childhood.

Jewelry was her first love, and before her nose could fully reach the counter, Ms. Frisosky was buying and selling jewelry for her personal collection.

Selecting the furniture, rugs, art, porcelain, silver, crystal and glass for her first apartment is what prompted her deeper appreciation for other art forms and a European summer tour in 2009 is what confirmed her desire to professionally work with beautiful objects every day.

The following summer she secured an internship with Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and began the coursework for the graduate gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America.

Ms. Frisosky received her master’s in the History of Decorative Arts at the Smithsonian partnered with George Mason University in Washington, D.C. in 2014 with concentrations in 20th century jewelry and 18th century American furniture.

Also in 2014, she completed the final course, Gem Identification, for the Graduate Gemologist degree at GIA’s headquarters in Carlsbad, California.

She continues to enrich her background by attending trade shows, conferences and seminars. She is USPAP (Uniform Standards of Ethical Appraisal Practice) compliant and is currently pursuing her certificate in appraisal studies in fine and decorative art at New York University.

In her free time, Ms. Frisosky enjoys being on the water, hiking, reading, crafting, cooking, flower arranging, visiting museums and adoring any and all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that come across her path.

She aspires to travel the entire world and strongly believes in the power of learning from other cultures.
